Description

Sheetrock, dozens of syringes and other trash in woods on west rock. Next to houses with kids. Behind a 'No Dumping' sign. Needs to be cleaned up.

Reading and looking at the map it seems this is park land (an open space issue). You should be probably calling the park's department for them to take a look and remove all of the trash. I have called them for this area also and they cleaned it up. It took awhile but it did happen.

I contacted Christy Hass at Parks last fall for a similar dumping issue in the woods on West Hills Road (closer to Valley Street) and she referred the matter to Jeff Pescosolido at Public Works, who then took care of it promptly. I suggest you email them both about this issue (and maybe thank them in advance for helping in this area previously). At the time, I also asked whether DPW might add a few new "No Dumping" signs to the area as there was only one which was bent over. I don't think any were added, though, so maybe mention that as well.
